Dr. Bocachica is a dermatologist and cutaneous surgeon certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He received his M.D. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook as a Robert Woods Johnson Scholar. After an internship in Internal Medicine in New York, Dr. Bocachica joined the United States Public Health Service and spent three years in rural Alaska and Anchorage as a General Medical Officer. Following his residency in dermatology both at the United States Public Health Service Hospital in New York and the University of California-Irvine, Dr. Bocachica served as the Medical Director of the Special Diseases Clinic in Southern California where he supervised the management of diseases of public health concerns for several years. He holds several teaching positions including professorships in dermatology and medicine from academic institutions.
